Terms of Use

1. The service

Icarus Map provides a free, browser-based interactive reference for the game Icarus: the homepage map covering Olympus, Styx, Prometheus and Elysium, dedicated region pages (Olympus, Styx, Prometheus, Elysium), and focused hubs for caves, deep mining ore deposits and exotics. There are no accounts and no paid features; everything on the site is free to use in the browser. Background on the project is on the About page.

2. Unofficial fan project

Icarus Map is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to RocketWerkz, and it is not an official source of Icarus information. Icarus and all related game names, artwork, locations and content belong to their respective owners and are referenced here only to help players find locations in the game.

Nothing on this site is official game support. For account issues, bans, server status, refunds or gameplay rulings, use the official Icarus support channels from RocketWerkz — this site cannot help with those, as explained on the Contact page.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use Icarus Map only for lawful, personal, non-disruptive purposes. In particular, you agree not to:

• probe, scan, overload or otherwise disrupt the site or its hosting;
• scrape, bulk-copy or re-host large parts of the map data, map images or page content for republication, resale or competing redistribution;
• misrepresent the site as official, or present its content as your own work;
• use the support inbox to send spam, abuse, unlawful content or other people's personal data;
• attempt to circumvent any technical protection or access control on the site.

Reasonable personal uses — such as linking to a map page from your own guide, stream or video, or quoting a short passage with attribution — are welcome. Enquiries about anything beyond that can go to support@icarusmap.net.

4. Map data accuracy

Markers are compiled from community knowledge and are provided as a planning aid. Icarus receives updates, balance passes and new content, and any community map can contain errors, omissions or outdated positions. A cave entrance, ore vein, exotic deposit, geyser, mission marker or spawn shown here may differ from the current live game.

Always confirm a critical location in game before committing expensive gear, limited time or a hardcore prospect to the trip. If you find a marker that looks wrong, report it as described on the Contact page and it will be reviewed for a future map data update.

5. Intellectual property

The site design, page text, guides and presentation of the map data on Icarus Map are the work of this project and may not be reproduced at scale, resold or redistributed without permission. Game-related names, locations and content remain the property of their respective owners (including RocketWerkz for Icarus) and are used here descriptively for identification only.

If you send feedback, corrections or suggestions to the support inbox, you grant Icarus Map a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that feedback to improve the site (for example to fix a marker or clarify a guide), without any obligation to compensate you or to publish your name. Do not send content you do not have the right to share.

6. Third-party links and content

The site may reference official game resources or community tools for context. Those destinations are operated by others, governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and are not under this project control. Following an external reference is at your own discretion.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site and all of its maps, markers, guides and text are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Your use of the site and any reliance on its content is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Icarus Map and its contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site — including lost progress, lost items or failed prospects in game. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects your statutory consumer rights where those apply.

8. Changes, availability and termination

The site may change, pause or discontinue any page, filter or data at any time, for example when the game updates or when maintenance is needed. These terms may be updated in the same way; the “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Access by anyone who violates these terms may be restricted using reasonable technical measures.

9. General provisions

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later. These terms, the Privacy Policy and any notices on specific pages together describe the rules for using Icarus Map.
