What Icarus Map is

Icarus is a survival game where every prospect matters: weather turns fast, predators roam the night, and the ores you need are often hidden inside caves or locked behind deep mining veins. Alt-tabbing to scattered screenshots and outdated forum posts is a bad way to plan a prospect. Icarus Map exists to fix that with a single, always-available reference: pick a region, enable the location types you care about, and read the map like a prospector instead of guessing.

The homepage puts the map first, so you can start working immediately, and every region also has a dedicated landing page with its own guides, how-to content and FAQ. There is no account system, no user accounts and no tracking of who visits. Markers you check off are stored only in your own browser storage, so your progress stays on your device.

What you can do with the map

Start with the interactive map, then go deeper with the focused hubs: Icarus cave locations, deep mining ore deposits and Exotics locations.

Maps covered

All four major Icarus regions are covered, each with its own interactive page. Olympus is the default view because it is the first and most-played prospecting map, but you can switch regions at any time from the homepage or jump straight to a dedicated page:

How to use Icarus Map

1. 1. Choose a region. Start on Olympus, or switch to Styx, Prometheus or Elysium depending on your prospect or mission.
2. 2. Enable the filters you need. Caves are on by default on the homepage. Add deep ore, exotics, geysers, missions or spawns for the run you are planning.
3. 3. Search or zoom. Type a cave ID such as R-17 or a grid reference, or zoom and pan the map manually.
4. 4. Click a marker. Read the marker details, note nearby resources, and check the marker off once you have visited it in game. Checked markers stay in your browser only.

Map data and accuracy

Every location on Icarus Map is placed to line up with the in-game world, and caves are identified by the same cave ID you see in the game — rather than improvised codes — so a marker labelled R-17 matches what you actually find when you reach that cave entrance in game.

Icarus receives balance passes and new content over time, and community knowledge keeps improving. Treat every community map — including this one — as a planning aid, not as a guarantee: always confirm a critical location (mission cave, drill site, extraction point) in game before committing expensive gear to the trip. If you spot a marker that looks wrong, contact us with the region, the cave ID or coordinates, and ideally a screenshot, and it will be reviewed for the next map data update.

Icarus and all related names, artwork and game content belong to their respective owners and are referenced here only to help players find locations in the game.
