Styx Regions & Biomes

Styx is split into 13 named regions across three biomes: Arctic (5), Desert (3) and Forest (5). Arctic high ground and ice flats punish cold prep; desert ridges and barrens swing the other way on heat and water; forest river valleys and wooded terraces are often the softer middle for early builds and travel.

Names such as Grove, Enclosed Wood, Frozen Traverse, Ring Lake, Dusty Barrens and The Wall are how missions and guides describe Styx locations. Pair a region name with Show Grid on the A–P / 1–16 layout, then turn on caves, deep ore or missions for stops along that path. The list below groups every Styx region by biome so you can plan cold, heat or forest routes. For concrete cave stops, use Icarus cave locations.

There is no single best base for every Styx prospect. A practical first pass is to show caves and deep ore together, turn on the grid, then pick a cell that shortens those loops. Bias the build toward the biome edge your run actually uses, and check that mission stops stay on the way — not off every trip.
